PENSACOLA - ITGULFCOAST, an Information Technology Association for the Gulf Coast, will hold their regular monthly meeting on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 in Downtown Pensacola.

Enterprise Web Content Management on Windows Azure Platform with Kentico CMS

Annually Microsoft invests approximately 9 Billion dollars in R&D. This year 75% of all Microsoft Engineers are working on new cloud applications and new cloud services. By the end of this year according to Steve Ballmer, CEO of Microsoft, that number will rise to 90% of Microsoft's 40,000 engineers. The Cloud is Here and Now.The traditional computing model has changed. Microsoft’s Platform As A Service PaaS offering: Windows Azure offers a compelling business solution for leveraging a consumption model for IT resources with a platform for application development. With Windows Azure you have Instant Infrastructure.

One ISV, Kentico Software has a product which is a scalable Enterprise Content Management System that is in use by almost 6000 websites in 84 countries as an on-premise or hosted solution. Kentico is delivered as a Visual Studio solution, and includes 34 out of the box modules all on top of a SQL Server backend. Do you need a highly available and scalable website or enterprise portal for your business? This session will answer that question using Kentico CMS to build a rich and compelling website for deployment in the Cloud on Windows Azure Platform and provide an overview of the Windows Azure Platform and the Cloud Computing Module.

Meeting Details

This meeting will be held at the Gulf Coast Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (PSC Downtown) conference room on the 4th floor. 418 W. Garden Street, Pensacola FL. The meeting starts at 11:30 am and ends at 1:00 pm. The cost for lunch is $12 per person. The fee to attend without lunch is $5 per person.
